Product Description
After Steven Scott flunked out of six jobs in his first four years after college, his best friend, Gary Smalley, offered one simple suggestion that would transform his life: study a chapter in Proverbs every day. Two years later, using the amazing strategies he gleaned from Solomon, Scott started a small company with a partner. Within six months their business was making over a million dollars a week. In the years since they have built more than a dozen multimillion-dollar companies. In addition, by applying the wisdom of Proverbs to his personal life, Scott restored his relationship with his estranged wife.

In this life-changing book, Scott reveals Solomon’s hidden treasures–often-overlooked wisdom for achieving breakthrough success in one’s work, health, marriage, and relationship with God. Readers will discover how to…
master life’s most important skill
achieve extraordinary success in business, finance, and marriage
resolve and win any conflict
overcome the most destructive force in relationships
prevent the single greatest cause of financial loss

The Richest Man Who Ever Lived powerfully and practically equips readers to apply Solomon’s inspired wisdom to accomplish their business, relational, and spiritual purposes.

1 out of 5 stars Disappointed with Amazon   May 4, 2008

I love Steven Scott's book! It is full of wonderful advice. However, I had been very careful when I shopped to get the expanded edition with the extra chapter. When the book arrived, I was so let down that Amazon would send me the other version in the expanded edition book jacket. I have used amazon so many times and love shopping here. I will keep the book, but I am sad that I have to miss out on what I thought I was getting.

1 out of 5 stars dust jacket was for 1 version, book itself was the other version   April 1, 2008

as you may know, there are 2 versions of this book. i specifically hunted down and found the "expanded edition" (published by waterbrook and not currency doubleday). the expanded edition has an extra chapter, which i wanted.

when i received the book, the dust jacket said "expanded edition" on it, but the book itself was the currency doubleday version. so either amazon or the printer had the wrong dust jacket on the book. i returned the book to amazon and bought it directly from steven k scott website.

5 out of 5 stars I loved it so much, I wrote my own companion book   February 8, 2008

I got this book back in early 2007. Actually, I got the book, and, as I tend to do, by the time it arrived I had forgotten what made me so excited to buy it. After a few weeks, I got to it and read it through in about two days.

The book really got me thinking about implementing that nugget of wisdom to read Proverbs daily corresponding the day to the chapter (today's the 8th so I read the 8th chapter). I had to put myself on a program to be consistant.

Well, I've been reading Proverbs for a little under a year now and I can tell you, as for me, it has really made me grow in some areas. I'm still learning and am thankful that I bought the book (even if I didn't read it immediately).

Who knew something so simple could be so powerful and life changing?
